Softball Guy

Just dusted off the ol glove and looks like the #45 will be coming out of retirement to take a team to the championship. Havent played in many years, but was a 6 time golden glove. Anyone play now? I need some warmup exercises to get me back in game shape. I am in pretty good shape but went to the batting cages the other night and swinging hurt. I am currently also playing in a hoops league, but that comes natural.

softball game shape?

6-8 miller highlifes a day. some sort of athletic bandage around 1 or both knees.

also make sure you take every single old shirt-jersey you own and cut the sleeves off of them.

I thought this thread was in reference to the great sport of "fastball" to Dave, but I think it is referring to what we call 3 pitch or slo- pitch.

your reference is to fastball I am assuming. played against the Kiwis in 3 different ISC World Championships, good ball players for sure.

but I could be wrong, assuming HCD means slo-pitch, pitcher just lobs the ball in, not facing a 80 mph heater from 42 ft. that's why I hate when our sport is legally recognized as softball, should be changed. causes confusion between the two. annoys me.

Couple of questions:

1- Does your team wear matching uniforms?

2- Does said uniform include nicknames on the back of them?

3- Does your team have practice?

4- Do you play sober?

.
.
.
.
.
.
.

If you answered yes to any of the questions.

yes guys i mean slow pitch, beer drinking softball. I believe females are the only ones that take softball serious. If you are a male and play fast pitch, you have more problems than this thread can help with. Dave, please dont tell me NZ is known for male softball.

Played tournament ball over the last five years (as well as league for a good while). Laid off tourney ball after tearing a hamstring... So make sure you stretch those boys out... Also, take time to warm up before hand. I know this seems like obv advice, but I play with a bunch of guys (league) that warm up with a few beers. Haven't quite gotten back into it... not sure I really wnat to give up every other weekend (Saturday) again... Played SS (or OF if needed).

I'm guessing a team from the southern hemisphere.
