Arrow Some capping questions

As everyone may know I have been trying to learn and get better at capping for the upcomming football season. I did have a few questions on some things I have been trying to figure out. So any help you guys can give me would be much appreciative. Thank you for your time & help in advance.

1. Statfox matchups: What does everyone think about using them? How is there power edge system working for most? (also if there are better matchups that you are using what are they?)

2. The Line: Oddsmakers move a line in part because of one-sided public betting action on a side or total. They also move the line in reaction to wise guys selections. Either way, this section attempts to uncover whether the wise guys and public have a read on a given team. It summarizes both line and total movements. As a general rule, follow the line or total movement when percentages exceed 57% and go against it when they are below 43%. (This was from the match up report from statfox, it just tells you which team the public favors. "As a general rule, follow the line or total movement when percentages exceed 57% and go against it when they are below 43%" My question is on the percentages, where can I see the total movement of a line so I can see if it has exceeded 53% or below 43%?

3. The Line: How can I tell if a game line has a good chance of changing before game time? (Say a game is @ +6.5 and I want to play the line at +7.5, what would I look at to see if that line has a good chance of moving to where I want to play it at?) (becides line shopping)

4. The Line: Where can I see what the line opened at, and how much it has changed since the line opening? (also the same with totals if possible.)

5. Any other capping tools that you guys would recommend, like any good live line feeds or just anything to help me put together a successful football season? (Or maybe other things you guys are looking at to cap games that I am not looking at or missing?)

1. Statfox works as well as the others do. I use many different matchups when determining who to wager on.

2. That is the secret to successful wagering. It is nearly impossible to know what the so called "wiseguys" are doing becuase they have several ways of dusguising it. They normally wait until the last second to dump big money. They also use tricks like a "bait and switch" tactic which makes joe public think that a line is going one way, just to wager heavily the opposite way when the spread swings in their favor. You are also going to read a lot about "trap" games in here. People can only guess that a game is a "trap" because the lines do not seem to match up to the caliber of talent that the teams have. There are other things that people are going to claim in here, some true, some not. The best thing to do is simply not to worry about late line movements unless you have the time to track every game with every book on line. You will never get information out of Vegas. If you do your homework porperly, and develop a good handicapping system, that is all you need.

3. You can not tell if the line is going to change, and what direction it will move. A general rule (and this is general only) is that the line tends to drop during the week, and then climb to near it's opening number on the day of the game.

4. The line comes down about 3:00 P.M. Pacific time on the Sunday before the games are to be played. Normally, by 5-6 P,M, most good books will have them posted for you. Early wagering could be very important. In case you did not know, all lines are pre-set before the season starts, and adjustments are made during the season. You can wager any NFL game this season today at certain Vegas casino's.

5. Do your homework and develop a good system. Have enough funding to survive a bad run. We all have those. GL.
