Some thoughts of mine on teasers

Numerous times in every sporting day we see big winning margins.
Bottom line is both teams go out there to win, but when one team realises they are too far back often the toys can be thrown out of the cot so to speak.

One team has everything going for them the other can't win and has the reverse energy. One of the reasons we see blowouts.
Those of you who have played sport can relate to this. Think back and I'm sure u can think of many stories of your sporting days where the margin of victory was lopsided, it occurs often.

I remmember well a rugby game I was involved in going into the game you have a tough time picking who would win, form was similar.
They blew us off the park the final margin was around 50 points which is equal to around 50 in American football too.

Another one on the + side I recall is a cricket game where the team I was representing hadn't beaten the team we were playing at their home ground for 60 years. In betting terms we would have been +1000 at least to win.
Not only did we win and create history, but we won with ease.

I can think of numerous other examples as well where the final score belies the true difference between the teams.
Just look last night at the Lakers game, Pistons won by 14 points. One of my Bookmakers had the Lakers +10.5 @ around -1000.

What is your point Dave u ask ?

Well IMO if u are to play teasers u need to minimise the risk. The most effective way to do this is to limit the teaser bet to the fewest possible outcomes. For most books that is a 2 team teaser. If u are to take teasers 2 teamers should be what u take most of the time. This way you give yourself the best chance to come out ahead long term.

Goodluck
