Exclamation Something I always wanted to know about US sports

Say you get the works in terms of your cable sports package.....how many games do you get on a daily basis? take today for example there are 3 NBA games, 3 NHL and 11 MLB. How many of these can you view? I realise it probably differs depending which part of the USA you reside.

I get the MLB baseball package

If the local team is on, that game is blacked out and you have to watch the local telecast.

All the other games are usually avaliable, sometimes you get the home and away telecasts if there's not a full slate of games

I paid $179 I believe with the early bird rate. If you have the digital cable already, you don't have to pay anything else besides the package add on fees

I think I pay like $130/month or something close to that, but that includes all the movie channels too.

Gerk likes his movies

I have Direct TV.
I get the MLB baseball package. Cost $199.00 per year
You must have at least a basic package.. $50.00 to $60.00 month
I live in North East Pennsylvania and the teams they black out are Phillies, Mets, Pirates, and Yanks. But most Yank are on ,because of there own channel. And the others I can watch on the local telecast sometimes.

i have dish with the full package. it is about $120/mo including taxes. I do not pay for extra packages like MLB (i pay for the online version).

Keep in mind it is nhl and nba playoff so you are getting more nationally televised games.

Here is the breakdown:

NFL: All games are nationally televised through 2 local channels. You get the 3 during the day (Sunday) that are most relevant to your geographical area. Then you get SNF, and MNF. With a full package you get NFL channel (not the package) and you get Thursday night as well.

NCAAB: i cant even count. you get a lot. enough to watch 1-3 games at anay given time from noon till midnight-1am.

NHL: i dont follow but i think you can get at least your local team when they play and sometimes you get another game through another channel (spike?)

NBA: You get your local team, then I get the NBA channel (not the package) so i get a couple of games a week(?). then you have the nationally televised on espn, and TNT; plus you get the game on sunday (abc).

MLB: your local team. I get WGN from Chicago so every now and then i get cubs or whitesox game. Braves used to have a deal with TBS so you would get their games too, not anymore. Then national games, wednesdays and sundays on espn.

Soccer: you get about 10 games a week, between champions league in espn2, and uefa cup on FSC. Also EPL games now on espn and FSC. Serie A on FSC. La Liag and Bundesliga on a couple of other channels. MLS too on espn2 sometimes.

Here in good old Ontario Canada i pay $30 a month

I get every MLB NFL NHL NCAA foots and Baskets Ohl hockey Nascar

Except Ottawa senators games when they are on a certain channel.

In NCAA i prolly get 5-10 basktball games during the weeknights except fridays

no ivy league. And no ACC suday night hoops which sux.

And maybe a dozen NCAA foots on saurdays. Pretty sweet deal.

But nothing will ever compare to the direct t.v hack we had bak in the 90's

til early 2000's
