Spicy Chicken vs. Reg Chicken

I don't understand why spicy chicken is cheaper than reg chicken. For example Carl Jr's has a $1 spicy chicken sandwich but not a reg chicken one, the cheapest thing at the McD's in Vegas on the strip was the $1 spicy chicken sandwich, and at Wendy's 5 spicy nuggest are 99 cents, but 5 reg ones are $1.39, I just don't get it, does anyone?

Could go for one right now, not saying I don't love it but I just don't get why it's cheaper.

I remember when I was in China KFC was so much more popular there than over here, loved their chicken there, and the fried stuff at McD's too.

at wendy's you can get a chicken club value meal, substituting fries with chili, add a 5 piece spicy chicken with a medium drink for under $5

What's #1? I love Baja Fresh but it's not quite fast food since there's no drive thru, I'm a big fan of Taco Bell and Jack in the Box, and one can never go wrong with In and Out Burger, but I still have no answer why spicy is cheaper than regular lol.

Yeah I wish I tried it when I was on the East Coast, can't get it out West, can only get a frozen version of it at the grocery which I'm sure doesn't do it justice.
