Has anyone ever done something for a great cause that has used or involved a money sponser or sponsership??


I have something I'm doing in May that requires I raise a certain amount of coin($) in order for me to participate in it so looking for ideas of/or maybe letters/memos that some have used or seen that they have come across that were effective.

Thanks for all your help peeps....obviously I haven't hit up the 2 moneybags of Dr. Jack or Judge yet but would love to hear from those 2 as well...

i have a friend or 2 each year who do a golf outing.......it's a fun way for us but seems like a lot of work and you only get a small percent of what the total entry fee is, plus you have to get food/beer/prizes etc

and it's sponsor btw

Check out this site its called chipin.com

You can set up like widgets and shit where you can post in forums, emails etc.. and people can click on your widget or html thing and donate via paypal to help you reach your goal. I think this is a great way to get some support via the net. There are also a few other sites like this. Just read the fine print to see if they take anything. GL

The thing i'm doing recommends using FirstGivings but I'm trying to avoid that as they do take a cut of the funds....

Hoping i can get 4-6 sponsors to just cover me on it...



Quads....not doing a golf tourney for this.

There is a weight loss challenge some guys are doing for me...a cornhole/bags tourney and maybe a bowling outing

BP, I used to own a Marketing Co. that put on events ranging from Celebrity Hockey and Golf Events to Athletic events, to small to medium range concerts. In this biz sponsorship partnership and involvement is huge. Get my email from Jack and give me the lowdown on your event, can probably outline a program for you to use to help you raise the funds.

TSP.....I need 1,675.00 to participate in the event I'm doing. All monies are tax deductible and go toward this program. I don't want to say what it is on here as I haven't talked to Jack about it yet nor do I want to shill funds from people here cause we all know how that goes.

The event is a bike ride(mtn) that covers 320+ miles in 4 days to give you an idea of what it entails. It's for a very good cause but I've never done something this big money wise before.

I havent discussed it with jack so dont want to post what it is on here until getting an ok from him first on it all.


I can take any sponsors or donations( corp. or personal)...it doesn't matter
