Just some advice......when you enter an establishment in SF, be sure to quickly scan the place to ensure that their clientele isn't predominantly male before you decide to sit down.

Maybe that is a reason to sit down.
I don't know.
I offered advice so that he may decide for himself as to what course of action he should take.

Should he stay or should he go......

Isn't there a song like that???

It really depends on how far your willing to go and what you want. Billiards, Good food, good prices, big TVs, people. Heres some good ones to see Bonds hit some homers.

Jillian's is popular, food isn't great. Has lots of TVs. Pool tables. In metreon (101 4th Street).
If you don't like it there you can try another place basically across the street:

Fourth Street Bar and Deli. (55 4th Street )
No service, pretty much have to order at the bar, but its a good place overall.

Northstar Cafe (1560 Powell St)
good prices? check (every day all drafts $2.50 from 1-8pm)
Lots of sports and satellite? check
really cute girls (and friendly!)? check
good music? check

Ted's Sports Bar & Grill (398 7th Street)
This is farther away from the warf, but is a great place.

Knuckles Sports Bar (555 N Point St)
Closest to warf so more touristy, but good.

Hey UK.....JB means wharf.

I'm not sure if you still want to go to SF after today's story about Bonds.

but there is a decent sports bar in oakland..it is right at the edge of the colliseum parking lot...damn good place...they have big barrels of pickles for all you can eat...good kraut and dogs too

go to palo alto for sports bars instead of san francisco...a lot easier to nagivate because it is not as spread out as san francisco tends to be...damn good bars in palo alto

Not really a sports bar, more of a restaurant, but do you ever go to Momo's? Cool place right across from SBC park (or whatever it's called these days). I saw Chris Burman in there one night. He's a tall dude. Also, how do you like the Giants chances this year?
