Sports Cards

Doing some spring cleaning and came across boat load (guessing around -5K+) of sports cards (football, baseball, hoops, and hockey) from the late 80's to early/mid 90's. Want to get rid of them but feel guilty/stupid just throwing them in the garbage.

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions what I should do with them?

been a collector myself and I was even a dealer , after I saw others ' rip off ' kids when they made trades.

I had a real good relationship , cuz I had no overhead ( my Dad's real estate office ) and I just bought and sold and made even up trades with the kids.

However, that was in the late 80's early 90's and cards got out of control -

Dealers have a tough position now- cuz they need to rip you off in order to make a profit

I basically collect autos now.

There are some dealers that will give you all a decent price for the ' commons ' but you might be better off donating them to a kids home or something like that and benefit from the tax write off / dontation

I have a basement full of cards , too many

ebay sometimes will get you a few bucks but it is so fickle

Huge collector here...unfortunately the cards you have were very overproduced and not worth much at all (other than a few decent rookies out there)...Your best bet would maybe to put them all on ebay with a high Buy It Now and put the make an offer option and see what kind of offers you get...
