Question Which sports have the most big upsets?

and which sports have the least? on the sports that you follow in your adult lifetime?

Of all the sports I follow I will say rugby union has the least. Short priced favourites win SU at a VERY high %. I will have to do some thinking on the most.......

Horse racing easily has the most but it also has probably the most opportunities too and are the least heard of.

NBA the least

college sports have upsets mainly because the preseason rankings are garbage guesses and the teams have played no one to earn the spots.

imo

There is no such thing as ''huge'' favorites in the MLB and NHL, but underdogs always win.

Good call I agree..... in recent seasons big dogs SU record is poor. Doesn't mean that won't change in the future though, anything is possible.

The key word here is "big" upsets. Horse racing has 20-1 winners every day and many of them. How many other sports can say this? And since Dave mentioned rugby in his original post, I am guessing he wasnt just referring to major sports. And the nice thing gambling wise about horse racing is you can bet the huge longshots to finish 2nd or 3rd and still win big money...

A horse just won today at Monmouth park at 120-1 odds. Paid $242.20 for a $2 wager...
