Sports Traditions Started in your City

Please add those that have been started in your city. The following were all started in Chicago...

Exploding scoreboard after a home run.
Playing of Gary Glitters Rock and Roll Part 2.
Standing up and cheering during the entire anthem.
Standing up and cheering for the last out when there are 2 outs in the top of the 9th.
Throwing visiting team homers back.
Term March Madness first used here for High School Playoffs, then stolen by NCAA.
Gatorade dumped on a winning coach.

I know in Philly they started the tradition of throwing snowballs at Santa.

This was started in the 70's when Ron Guidry was pitching for the Yanks. Yank fans would stand and cheer with 2 outs and 2 strikes on a batter.

Also the bleacher creatures started (and believe the only team, Yanks) Do a roll call for each player in the first ininng.

Disclaimer:::I am not a Yankees fan. Just went to Yankees Stadium a lot through-out my life!!

I will say this.....I know standing and either being silent or singing along during the national anthem is the norm for 99.9% of sports/teams out there but there is something really cool about going to a blackhawks game and the roar during the anthem

My city (New Orleans originally, not SLC) invented a dome full of people wearing paper bags over their heads.
