State and Federal employees (mailman)

Today I ran into a mailman that told me he is not allowed to get out of his truck nor can he put the vehicle in reverse. I installed a rather large gate to block off a private drive. The mail box is on the outside so the mailman can pull up and put the mail in the box. Well now that the gate is up and he has to back up after putting the mail in the box he informed me that we can pick up the mail at the post office. I asked him if he could just walk over 6ft and put the mail in the box and he said no. I turned and looked at him and told him, "yep, your a State of Federal worker alright. He then got out of his vehicle and preceeded to tell me he was union and they will not make him get out of his vehicle. I told him to leave the mail at the post office and to stay the phuck off this private drive.
This is the reason that California is broke. The guy was literally 100pds over weight would it have killed him to get out and walk 6ft ? About and hour later the head mail dude showed up and informed me that if he was to ask his emplyee to get out of the vehicle he could loss his job. So from now on keep your eye on State workers and Federal wokers. Their unions are protecting them from ever having to work. This system is broken and California is filling up with lazy people.

not sure how that relates to california being broke...mail employees are federal employees and have no bearing on the state

In town the mail is carried door to door. Out in the country they have to deliver it and the boxes have to be at a certain hieght and they have to be able to pull up next to them. They are not allowed to put the car in reverse and if they can't turn around then you can pick your mail up at the post office. Rev I know they are federal employees as I listed that on the top of the thread. I am referring to a mailman but I watch 5 guys do road work while 4 lean on shovels and one person works. No one wastes money like the State of California.

LOL....yeah blame the state and federal workers....

Ive surely never seen a lazy person that works in the private sector at all...LMAO.

If I read all this right you put a fence or gate up that prohibits him to do what you said he needed to be able to do...therefore,seems like your fault to me...

I do understand what you are saying though but its every walk of life

maybe he saw a Steeler flag and was worried about being raped/domestically assaulted/sold drugs to/forced to use steroids or cocaine.....or maybe it is the policy of the PO in that area to not allow their drivers out of the vehicle for safety reasons....

but that is just common sense....
