Was wondering how long it was going to take for this to make it into the media coverage. Surprised it took as long as it has. The only flaw in the mission could have big consequences.

1st time one of these has been left behind. Radar detection can be avoided by hugging the terrain but hese had advanced technology and are almost silent until directly overhead. Pakistan/China military connections now a problem as the Chinese have wanted to develop this technology for along time.

they didnt do a great job of blowing up though. Figure that they would actually destroy it, but there was quite a bit left of it.

Surprised that they didnt have some kind of auto destruction mechanism for situations like this. I am going to hope/assume that they were able to remove or take CPU or the guts of the system so that intellectual property is protected.

Should have given a 1 hour notice to clear the compound and surrounding area once the mission was over and then leveled the place.

looking at the pics on the link below, it seems as though the tail smashed the wall to be honest, and ended up on the other side of the wall ... i almost feel like when they blew up the chopper, they had NO IDEA there was that much of the chopper in-tact on the other side of the wall ... damnit

Never going to know for sure--those types of details just wont be made public. Whatever you do hear or read wont be "true" regarding the specifics.

This had to be a joint op between NightStalkers, CAG (Combat Applications Group--Delta Force), and the DEVGroup (Naval Special Warfare Development Group which includes the SEALS and what the media is calling SEAL Team 6 which technically doesnt exist anymore by that name). This wasnt a SEALS only operation but you will never see the Deltas mentioned.

From what has been reported, two Stealth Blackhawks and two Chinooks (had to have been MH47E Army Chinooks) were used. Probably had approx 50 team members hit the ground to establish the perimeter and carry out the compound assault and capture/kill. Talkin one badass, cream of the crop contingent used for this mission.
