These two subbing for Mike and Mike. Has there ever been a worse duo? Maybe the two most annoying douchebags. Yuck

Happy I got to sleep in. Did they spend the whole morning talking about Lebron James?

I enjoy Mike and Mike because I take them for what they are. I don't expect a lot of in-depth stuff, nor is my mind equipped to handle any hard thinking at that hour.
But putting Skip Bayless and Screamin' A Smith together should be banned by the Geneva Convention.

Wow, I'm amazed that I'm the only one who didn't mind yesterday's Cold Pizza redux during the Mike & Mike show. I remember those two doing the 1st and 10 segments from 2005 or so, and I think they have a great vocal chemistry. Of course neither is especially bright or insightful about sports, but they display a vocal rapport that reminds me of Abbott & Costello or even Martin & Lewis. Sports is just a foil for them to find new ways to express their disgust at the other's naïveté and ignorance, something that hearkens back to the comedy of a bygone era.
I form my own opinions about sports topics, so I don't ask for much from sports radio beyond a pleasant, up-beat patter that makes the time pass quicker, and some occasional sillyness to make me chuckle. These two meet that bill far better than Mike and Mike, and I for one was grateful for the reprieve from their banality. |
