Stockton: America's most miserable City

America's Most Miserable Cities, 2011 - Yahoo! Real Estate

I have to admit that I was happy to hear that because I have been to Stockton many times and am glad there aren't any worse places to live

What is kind of disturbing though is the number of central valley towns in the top 10 and 20 with what I have to say is the best climate around (if you like dry 80 - 90s sunshine day after day in the summer)

As a native California I can attest that the central valley of California is a miserable place. That being said I would have guessed that the top of the list would be any town from Ohioh, Michigan, or maybe Buffalo. BTW Fresno was robbed they are by far the worst "major" city in California.

Stockton is a phucken shit hole. A friend of mine is a cop there and he tells me the place is as close to hell as you can get. Been there several times. Sad that the place is even in California.

Anyone been to turlock? My grandparents lived there and i used to visit them for a week every so often. They have passed away and i have not been there in about 15 years. Seemed to be a decent small town.

Yeah El Paso is bad. I had to drive through that place a couple times on the 10 and it just feels dirty. Also, can't forget about Amarillo.

It's not that Stockton is so bad, it's just it pales in comparison because it's so close to Lodi.
