ESPN anchor Stuart Scott is battling cancer according to the sports network. He will attempt to maintain a normal schedule as he undergoes chemotherapy after doctors discovered cancerous tissue, according to online reports. Stuart Scott, 45, previously worked for WESH in Orlando before making the leap to ESPN in 1993 where he quickly became a popular personality with his signature catchphrase “Boo Yah!” Scott underwent chemotherapy four years ago when doctors discovered a malignancy during an emergency appendectomy in 2007. “There are 28 million cancer survivors worldwide,” Scott said in a statement. “You know what that means? . . . we've got a strong army!! Once again, I join the fight and like 3 years ago, I plan to beat this thing. Can’t tell you how much I appreciate everyone’s well wishes and support. I’ll be back at work soon…probably sooner than you think. I am blessed to have the invaluable support of a great team of doctors, my loving family, genuine friends, and my ESPN family.”

get tired of his act many many times, but nobody should have to battle this disease and i wish him well and speedy recovery

I used to like his antics, but they are old now. That being said, I wish him a speedy and successful recovery. No one and I mean no one deserves to suffer.

I echo everyones sentiments above, he annoys the hell out of me, but no one should have to fight cancer. I wish him a very speedy recovery & hope he can beat this deadly disease.

I have ripped him many times and I change the channel when he is on but I hope he gets through this. After dealing with cancer last year and would never wish it on anyone.

I feel sorry for people that dont drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they are going to feel all day.
