Sweet Potatoes

Been eating them for years and now they are the big thing. I see sweet potatoes fries everywhere now. El Pollo Loco just came out with them. Love Sweet Potatoes and they have good health benefits.

I've never tried making fries out of them. I usually make a sweet potatoe mash or I just cut em up and throw some salt/peper/oreagano and throw them in the oven.

The Sweet Potato fries are really good. I buy the McCain super fries ones & they are quite tasty.

Fried sweet potatoes....

Peel and slice 2 yams 1/2" thick

Boil in water until almost done

Drain and fry in a skillet with
1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 cup
of butter, 3 tbs. white sugar

Small amount of water if it is to thick

Cook to desired texture and enjoy

Sweet potatoes are nutritionally better for you. If you're going to just eat them fried you're defeating some of the purpose of choosing it over a regular potato though. I mostly just buy regular potatoes but always bake them. I put sweat potatoes in soups and stews though.

Yeah, the crinkle cut ones are the best as they don't burn.
