Tahoe invitational

Taking my son to the invitational tourny to see some of the sports stars. Going up on Wednesday to watch the practice round and meet some of the players. One I will surely be seeing is Ben Roethlisberger. Hope to get a picture with him with my son. Also will be looking for Jerry Rice and Michael Jordan. If anyone else is going I would love to meet up with you. I am going to be there on Wednesday and I will be on the 10th green. Will return home on Thrusday only to go back up on Saturday and Sunday. Looking forward to the trip and hope to see some of you there.

So no one is going to the golf tourny this weekend in Tahoe ? A lot of good sports athletes will be there along with people like Cheech Maron. I leave tomorrow with my son and would love to run into some of you from the board.

My parents are there!!! I was going to go, but went to our place at Lake Berryessa for some waterskiing and alot of drinking!!!

What a great time it was. Just got home after two days of watching celeb's treat my 12 year old like a king. Lou Holtz sat and chatted and talked to him for about 20 minutes. First class guy. Herman Edwards was another one that took time with my son. Great guy to chat with and he had some good info to share about the KC Chiefs. I can't even name all the stars that my son talked with. Jerry Rice and Lou came over and talked with him at dinner. Keenan Mccardell was a real sport and told my son what its like to be a WR in the NFL. I can name a lot of people that spent time with the kids but one such athelete was a complete jackass and I watched him push kids out of the way to get to the tee box. He was a first class jerk and anyone who would treat kids like that has no business even being involved with the tourny. His name is JACKASS JOHN ELWAY. The fans ripped him for the way he acted and I loved. The words "has been" could be heard from far and wide.
Ben Roethlisberger was a class act. He signed my sons hat and talked to me about the up coming season. Not long but he did answer questions. He had two bad ass body guards around him. He signed hundreds of kids hats, jerseys you name it. Class guy who played a hell of a game of golf. Herman Edwards an Lou were two coaches that were top notch to say the least. I say Herman in Harrahs nad he stopped and chatted. Topnotch trip with my son and he will surely not forget it. I am going back for Saturday to watch them actually play for real. Great trip to say the least.

Excellent story Steelman! I have never heard of the event, but sounds like a nice outing except for the John Elway experience.

If you get a chance next year to go, its well worth taking your kids. I have pictures of my son with, Herman Edwards, Marcus Allen, Lou Holtz, Steve Beuereein, Mike Shanahan, Dick Jauron, Kyle Boller, Aaron Rodgers, Keenan Mccardell, Anthony Anderson. My son got Autographs from everyone listed above and Ben Roethlistberger, Carson Palmer, Donald Trump, Vince Coleman, Maury Povich, Dan Quinn, Jerry Rice, Steve Spurrier, Jack Wagner. A trip that my son will be talking about for a long time to come. Hope to see some of you there next year.

Ron Mexico, in my younger days I used to go skiing @ Berryessa. You must live around close. Hope your parents had a great time. Maybe next year you can make the trip.
