Hope they are both safe

Why aren't we out of Afghanistan now?

Seems like a senseless loss of American lives... especially Navy Seals

These guys weren't just seals either... squad 6 or something like that... higher ranking seals

RIP to all our fellow americans

They're from the same unit, but not the actual soldiers involved in the Bin Laden raid. It's no different than the 1000's of other US troops that have lost their lives, they're all tragic.

It's President Bush's fault. I don't know why he hasn't gotten them out of there by now like he promised. Oh that's right he's not president anymore that was Obama who promised to get them out. Guess he has been to busy screwing up the economy and healthcare to keep this promise.

yeah. the taliban gets its "revenge" for the laden 911 fiasco. but the guys who 86'd the seals will be d.o.a. if it was done with intention. "revenge" covertops will take them out to even the score and resend the message "attack us and u are no longer safe.

Pretty certain a black ops mission has already taken place to pretty much demolish the insurgent area that shot the chopper down. If there are civilian casualties then it will be a case of "shouldn't have been standing there"........eye for an eye amigo....you take our lives, we are going to smear yours all over the floor.

I'm sure all the fatherless children, American & Afghan alike, take comfort knowing this.

mark no offense but if you are going to pollute this thread with your hatred for Obama about the brave men who died this past weekend then at least get your facts straight. Again in no way did he state they were pulling out of Afghanistan in fact he said that this is the country that more resources were going to be put into Afghanistan if he got elected. RIP to all those who lost their lives.

Obama promises 10,000 more troops for Afghanistan | World news | The Guardian

Obama promises 10,000 more troops for Afghanistan
· Pledge follows worst loss of US soldiers since 2005
· Candidate to visit war regions for talks next week

Barack Obama yesterday pledged to increase US troops in Afghanistan by a third if he becomes president, sending 10,000 more to reinforce the 33,000 already there.

He was speaking after the US lost nine soldiers at the weekend in the deadliest attack on its forces in the country since 2005.

Obama has promised, soon after becoming president in January, to begin scaling back the 156,000 US troops in Iraq and Kuwait, and to shift the focus to Afghanistan.
