I will owe for the first time when I file next. What are some things you use as deductions?

has anyone deducted gambling and gotten in trouble for it? do you need receipts for that?

You can use a deduction for state goverened gaming only to offset a winning ticket large enough that you have to pay taxes on

Basically you save losing tickets which add up to the amount of the winning ticket and break even

P.S. Hire an accountant...you will save $$ even after paying them their fee
