Tax question

I'm pretty sure that I'm right, but I received a $9000 tax credit for the purchase of my house. I received that money in March of last year. My question is do I have to claim that money on my taxes as income? I believe I do but just wanted to make sure.

Thanks!!

Yes they give you a break and then they take some of it back.

Yeah I figured that. Luckily I only have to stay in the house for 3 years and don't have to pay it back.
