I have a friend in the US who I want to send a DVD to. Its a surprise and was wondering whether a DVD from here would play on his.

Basically DVD's around the world are defined by regions for example in Australia most DVD's are region four, which means the majority of DVD players (that aren't multi region) only play region 4 DVD's.

Was just wondering how common multi region DVD players are in the US.

no, most aren't

Region 1

mine is region-free though

but if you go into a Best Buy or Wal-Mart here, you won't find region-free DVD players

no subs sucks haha, yea no real way of knowing if it's the proper uncut version but it has way more scenes and flows better than the previous version I saw. Bellucci is so fine though.
