Technical Support Thread

I really wish we could have a forum set to help people with the stuff like car maintenance, cell phones, DVD players, computer help and the likes. This could be one of the most important forums here at cappersmall. Many times, you try and put something on Main street only to be pushed down by the likes of "Dog eats mans weiner off" or What is your favorite movie? (for the 10th time that week). Not to say that these aren't important, but maybe not for everyone. It would definitely be a huge help for me because I still can't do half the things that I mentioned above. I also understand that you can't have 50 forums here. Bottom line is that we are all here to help each other either through sports or support in whatever way. This would be a way to cap it off. I think it would be HUGE! I would live there! That is all!

Just spent 45 minutes on the phone with the good people of Panasonic....I have just taken 10 years off my life dealing with their monkey asses. Really it's my lack of understanding that has caused me to have trouble with my DVD recorder. You would need a degree from MIT to completely understnad this menu. 95% of people need this thing for recording movies, dubbing movies or watching movies. They have ever scenario in the world in the menu....ohhhhhh where are the good ol days............

I am going way out of the box on this one, but you could simply ask the question you want an answer to and see if anyone actually knows the answer. Someone might be more inclined to answer a question if the question was actually the name of the thread and not buried in the 5th post of the thread. Also there is this thing called the internet that allows for searching of information. If you go to a search engine and type in Panasonic DVD recorder (maybe even try the model number) and see if there are dedicated forums to just such questions and problems. Just a thought.

I wasn't posing this problem with my dvd recorder as a question to the mall. If I had, I would have asked it in a question format. This thread was meant to say that I think ALOT of people would benefit from having a thread dedicated to helping each other with everyday questions involving do it your self home projects, cars questions, computer and anything else that may come about. We have many people that really excel in certain areas and it's a shame that we don't use each other more often. Once someone does post something for help, it's quickly buried to the bottom or to another page page before 90% of people get to see it. Just trying to help improve CM like always!

When I go to a site dedicated to electronics I don't ask them who they think will will the game tonight.

My suggestion is ask specific questions, if you get an answer then that is just a bonus as this place does revolve around capping.

I understand what you are saying and I am not trying to be a smart a$$, but main street is the best the mall has to offer. CM is not a Wallmart, it is a more of a specialty niche store
