In situations like this, the cops should be in NO hurry to get the suspect medical help.

OOPS.....sorry chief, but I didn't bother to call in EMS as I didn't think 2 shots to the suspect's head was life threatening.

Hopefully, the medical attention was directed to trying to save the policeman he murdered right before they got him.
