Unhappy terrorism is for fuking cowards

i'm sure many of you may have heard about the terrorist attacks on Uganda that happened yesterday during the world cup championship game... and you may or may not have heard about the 1 lone american who was killed in these attacks. it saddens my heart to tell you that Nate Henn was an extremely close friend of mine.

For those who didnt know nate, he was such an amazing person who always had time to help someone else. He was over in uganda as part of invisible children, a non-profit group that tries to keep young children from being forced into being a part of Joseph Kony's rebel army in northern uganda. it sickens me to think about the 3 suicide bombers and how they could do something like this. Sorry for the post, just needed to write something and felt i could do it here.

RIP - I love you nate.

this day has been a mess. a really good friend of ours has a family friend who is a pilot and was willing to fly Kyle (Nate's younger brother) to North Carolina for free so he could be with his family on such a tragic day. They were in a small 4 passenger plane with just the pilot, co-pilot, and Kyle when the plane had a crash landing in north carolina. the pilot was killed on impact, and the co-pilot is in critical condition, most likely losing both his legs. thankfully, kyle is currently in the ER, but ok with some small bumps and bruises.

please keep this family in your prayers. the last 24 hours has been ungodly.

thanks for all the kind words fellas. it really is a shame and so sad... here is the article/video about kyle's plane crashing. again, the news doesnt know all the details yet, but their basic story is accurate. and as of now, they have amputated the co-pilot and he is without both legs. thankfully kyle only had to get 2 staples to the head to hold a cut together, but that was it.

apparently the plane had trouble landing and bounced off the runway a couple times. the pilot knew he was running out of runway, and tried to pull back up. however he lost too much speed and couldnt get back in the air.
