Texas Tech: Exposed!

Wow....did Oklahoma SHATTER Texas Tech last night.

How they ever beat Texas I will never know. Texas dropped 3 INT's on TT's final drive, any one of which would have clinched it.

Great job by Oklahoma and now the Big 12 South has that weird 3 way tie. Assuming OU beats Okie State and Texas beats A&M, I would have to see that OU would be the highest ranked in BCS, even though Texas beat them.

What a mess, but at least Texas Tech is out of the equation. Wow...65-21. Shellacking.

Its gonna get even crazier.. What happens if Okie state beats the sooners and texas beats A&M. Then its the longhorns right back in the big 12 title game against Mizzou and then most likely playing the national title game against the winner of the sec title game.. man now that is crazy! lol.. I dont mind to play either Texas or Oklahoma because i honeslty think that either florida or alabama could be either team.

I dont think so i think that if okie state wins and texas wins then texas will get the bid because they would be the highest ranked BCS team. I could be wrong but that is what i think I heard them saying last night

Nope. If Oklahoma State wins against the Sooners, there will be only two one loss teams in the Big 12 South and Texas Tech will get the bid to the Big 12 Chanpionship because of theier head to head win over Texas. The BCS ranking only comes into play (in the fourth tiebreaker) if there are three one loss teams which is what we will have if the Sooners win next week. I am in the very weird position of rooting for Oklahoma two weeks in a row and if they win out, they could still pass Texas in the rankings.

Let's forgive BFD for getting personal - he had a rough night. Crap, I think Oklahoma just scored again

BFD - You can't take this so personal all the time, not good for the heart.

It could get even stranger. Suppose that OU leapfrogs Texas in the standings and loses to Missouri in the Conference Championship game. It's not like Stoops has never lost a big game or something. Then who goes to the NC game? Can the BCS even send a team that did not win it's confernce championship? This could be the major screw up that leads to some type of playoff system.

Im sure it can.. the year that Auburn went undefeated they werent chosen by the bcs when they chose usc vs oklahoma and if memory serves me correctly they didnt play in their conference title game..

That was the year before. OU lost their conference championship game to Kansas State and three teams, LSU, USC, and OU had 1 loss. USC was #1 in both polls, but the BCS picked LSU and OU to play in their version of the NC game. They had a split National Championship that year. I can see that happening this year, if Texas is ranked ahead of OU in the AP Poll.

It is really weird rooting for OU huh Judge!! I still think we have a good chance to hold our ground though. The computers love us (#1 SOS) and most coaches would have a hard time putting OU in front of UT because of the head to head thing. I also hope the voters realize that if Gidieon catches that pick then there is no debate here at all.
