Thank Goodness!!!!! NCAA Tourney only expands 3 teams!!!!!

at least for now.

i am happy, i never want to see a 96 team tournament, from a non-financial standpoint, i thought it was the dumbest thing that could ever be done. i am fine with 68 team tournament and hopefully it will stay that way for a while.!

well this basically means a play-in game for every 16 seed and i guess there is a little problem with that.

now every small conference will probably have to play a play-in game now just to get a shot at the big dance. sucks for like the patriot league after winning their conference, they will have to play a SWAC champion just to make it to the dance.

i have always thought they should let the last 8 bubble teams play the play-in game and automatic qualifiers should get into the tourney automatic.

Do you think the small conference schools are bummed about it? If you ask me, these games are more than just "play in games", they're actually tourney games. Games that are nationally televised and games that they actually have a chance to win, rather than their only game being against a #1 seed, shown in 8% of households, and only for the first 10 minutes since it's a 40 point blowout.

I'd think that they'd like the play in games, but maybe im wrong

wow, looks like my solution actually was right on.

lowest 8 RPI teams play the play in round and face #1 seeds.

was not that hard really
