i'm not a soccer fan but i also wish them well, anything that actually involves out country taking pride in a national team of ours for once is always good

I'm excited for today's match. I became a fan of USA Soccer when I watched them play Italy to a draw in the 2006 World Cup. They really played their asses of that day. Hopefully they do the same today.

i will cheer for the USA when it comes to sports even if I don't follow or like the particular sport

it makes me sick that around my neighborhood people go more crazy for the Italian team winning the world cup than they would for the US.

i mean give me a break. i'm 100% italian and couldn't have cared less. i wanted to walk around and take a survey of all these hardcore fans and ask them all how first and foremost how much italian they spoke, and how much soccer they really followed.

1000% with you, this is why I hate int'l soccer. I love club soccer, but the cities of Toronto and Vancouver are the two most annoying places during int'l tournaments. I always cheer for countries that have the least representative ethnicity in the city during the world cup or euros

my favorite is when some (not all) portugese people start cheering for Brazil.

Anyways it is my dream for USA to win the World Cup because it would crush the hopes and dreams of everyone around the world. To have a country that is pretty meh about the sport win would be awesome.

I will be the first to wave an american flag proudly (and I only have a green card) in the streets of Toronto or Van

hell yeah

every other country is all about taking pride in itself, ours seems to be obsesses with celebrating everyone else's successes

**** that, hope the US wins even more now and guess what, i'll even watch the game

I am excited.

As far as Americans and soccer; Americans dont like soccer is because Americans are typically FRONTRUNNERS, its just the way it is. If the US won a world cup half the country would have na'tl jerseys on and chicks would be all into the players and t and then it would take off

half the country is Lakers, Bulls or Celtics fans , Patriot , Steeler or Cowboy fans and in Baseball its Redsox , Yankees and Dodgers what a shocker... no one wants to root for the underdog here, no one can take losing so they just quit on soccer.. its halarious but sad

imo
