There is a way around this, we just need help and research

I have been scouring the net trying out how to set up accounts using foreign addresses, proxies, the whole 9 yards. would love to hear your folks thought and ideas
thanks

here is one persons thoughts:

"1. Foreign address for Neteller and bookies
- In the other thread Bet365 and Centrebet have started closing US-resident accounts, so I believe it is now necessary to find yourself a foreign address
- Same goes for Neteller

2. Change/register Neteller and bookies to the foreign address

3. Find a proxy server originating in same country as your foreign address
- Admittedly I have only "played around" with proxy servers, I don't know exactly the best/reliable way to do it. But reading this may be a good start:
http://www.proxy4free.com/
- The idea is to make it appear as if you're logging in from your foreign address/country

4. Open a bank account in the foreign country
- Fund this account, which in turn will fund Neteller, which in turn will fund the bookies

5. Place bets as per normal

Now there are possible issues with this arrangement. These are just some on top of my head:
- I believe Neteller requires a utility bill as proof of address? This may be a problem
- If sites/Neteller require other form of ID, you obviously can't show your American passport/driver's license, so I don't know if other forms of ID are acceptable

I still think it's too early to start adopting the above steps. I believe NETELLER is the key. If they are willing to do business with US customers, then the challenge shouldn't be too hard.

If they are not, maybe it's time to look at other lesser-known payment processors like Moneybookers. I use them in addition to Neteller."

Turkstock, while I understand your efforts in wanting to find a way around this, do you think in reality its possible?

Supposing (as an example) you managed to procure a UK mailing address (as it happens I live in the same city as bet365's H.O.).

IF the relevant authorities wanted to, couldn't they prosecute you under money laundering laws?

My point is I don't doubt that its possible, but whether the risk/reward is worth it.

Best of luck to you all against this, you know you have my support.

it is possible, there a folks in the phillipenes that do it, but i cannot get the person I know that knows them to disclose their method.
anybody who has ever used neteller or paypal or put money into an off shore account can presumably be prosecuted under money laundering laws( the law is bullshit and getting worse all the time thanks to GW BUSH and the patriot act). the key here is not letting the government control our lives. by wagering online, i am hurting nobody and should be a god given entitlement!

If I understand correctly, the bill prevents financial institutions in the U.S. from accepting or transferring funds for the purpose of gambling. Neteller is not in the U.S, so why are you using a proxy to access the site?

And as for tricking your book into believing you are outside of the U.S, why not just put your money in a non-publicly traded book that continues to accept bets from U.S. bettors?

wish i could move... to new zealand of some shit,
but I am an arbitrage trader, I need to have accounts with the best book with best odds. i have lost 5 accounts in the last month, ezbets, sportingodds, bet365, cybersportsbook, etc. neteller will be closing down for us. i make a nice secondary income arbing and big brother is f'n it up. Futhermore, betfair (best odds) and many solid UK books have never been open to US. adding accounts with these books would enhance my ability to earn some money.

Try this sites sponsors - they aren't going anywhere; and they ARE the best in the industry.

I see. Obviously a risky proposition for a US resident.

I already have accounts with most of the sponsored sites. However the best arbs are available in tennis, soccer and european hoops/hockey so I need to have a well diversified ability to wager from different sources, the best of which don't allow US clients.
if anybody can supply me with usefull input, I would appreciate it
