Question Which of these is the biggest flaw in sports?

This was a great topic on the radio here.

Also feel free to add your own.

NFL and overtime
College Football and no tournament
NHL and shootout
MLB and no salary cap
Soccer Championships being decided by penalty kicks
MLB all-star game determining home field adv for world series

What do you think is the biggest flaw and feel free to name some I missed!

It makes ZERO sense and baseball clearly contradicts itself.

It's for the fans so the fans should vote.
If it counts and is as important as deciding Home field advantage then shouldn't each side have the best players playing?

MLB and no salary cap...its really hurt the sport imo. They wonder why teams like TB and KC can't compete, its cuz they don't have enough money to sign FA's like the big timers of yanks and sox. Its terrible, but it will never change because the MLBPA will never agree to it.

#2. No college tournament, that is a disaster...it could be as big or bigger than march madness

I would also say that I don't like guaranteed contracts in any sport. I would like to see players and teams get money based on wins and production. For example, a winning team would get $50,000 for a win and the losing team would get $25,000.

This is probably one of the biggest problems with sports. If everything was one year contracts we would eliminate a lot of problems

College Football and no tournament

MLB's All-star game problem isn't nearly as big a deal as its hyped up to be. The home field advantage is not really all that big in baseball anyway. The salary cap issue is actually more concerning for the teams not spending. MLB needs to enforce a salary cap bottom ($40 mil would be good) so that the KC's, TB's, and Floridas of the league can't continue to lowball fans while cashing in off revenue sharing.

For college football not to crown a true champion in a tourney format is really sad.

Although I do not like the Marlins ownership - I will admit that these guys have spent money prior to thsi year. They should not be put in that group of lowballers you mention (Kc/TB) but the point is well taken
