it couldnt be fixed so they sent me a new unit with all my sings still intact, for free. you get a 6 month warranty where they pay for everything, then the next 6 months you only pay for the S&H.

I agree man. I bought my iPod at Best Buy. The hard drive died on me. It completely froze. I took it back to Best Buy with a receipt. They wouldn't exchange it because it was after the 30 days that are allowed for refunds. I was pissed. I took it into the Apple store. The guy said oh yeah, I've seen this happen before. Goes to the back and brings me out a brand new iPod. No questions asked, didn't even ask for a receipt. Awesome!
