Angry Ticketmaster scandal

Looks like Ticketbastard may be finally hit with an antritrust lawsuit

Last weekend tickets went on sale for Bruce Springsteen's latest tour and tickets were sold out in less than a minute for most venues

The problem was that there were tickets still available through the partner site of TM, TicketsNow and fans were redirected to that site. These tickets were sold at a premium price well above face value. So basically TM sells tickets to themselves and then resells them at a higher value on their partner site make more $ per seat

This has been going on for a year or so now and the gov't has always turned the other way but after doing a little research it looks like there are some politicians on board now to stop these illegal practices from Ticketbastard

Should be interesting in the months that come to see what happens with this story

Ticketmaster couldn't stand seeing all the scalpers make a boat load off all these tickets. What a joke. I have always disliked ticketmaster and maybe this will be the start of the end of the craziness when buying tickets for anything.

I also heard that there was a high ranking official in the Busch administration who is a big shot with you guessed it.......Clearchannel

Clearchannel owns most of the venues that TM sells tickets for

I got an email last week about a Class Action lawsuit against TM for their handling of the NCAA tourney tickets.

I go to a different tourney site every year and have been for 10 years now. IN the past it was always first come first serve for ticket applications. You would just go to the hosting universities site and send in your application and be done

this year the NCAA went with TM and it was a disaster. i put in for Boston on the first day they were available and didnt get the tickets but a friend of mine put in for tickets 3 weeks later and got his.

minneapolis ( where i am going) was the last one to notify people that you had tickets and even Univ of Minny who is hosting had any clue who got tickets or when I would get notified

and people are suing TM because they kept the money for longer times and didnt refund some application fees associated with the ticket application

My boss was trying so hard at work and it kept going to that other website. I told her to screw that and keep trying another venue and finally got a few in Hersey.

Not me, but when an artist as big as him has a problem with the corrupt ways of TM enough people will climb on board and hopefully make some changes

The Chicago Cubs have been doing this same thing now for years. It went to court, and guess what, it was stated to be OK and they are still doing it. The place is called Wrigley Field Premium Ticket Services and it is right across the street from Wrigley Field.

In my opinion nothing will come of this and Ticketmaster will continue to do it.

TM has been doing this for years. Now that the test case in Chicago with Wrigley Field has been settled, this is going to happen time and time again.
