Ticketmaster trick/tip

Now that you have to punch in those funky letters/numbers before you place an order to prevent automated programs from scooping up all the good tickets.

You know the ones that you can hardly read.

Your best bet is to hit continue until ones come up that you can clearly see. This will save you time in the long run and help in the errors you will make trying to decipher the jumbled mess in front of you.

Tip #32

alot of sites are using that now. ticketmaster is a fraud anyway.
they say tickets go on sale at 10am on a given saturday, the site wont let you in and they're supposedly sold out by 10:01am

This is the new "trend" thats all the Eagles do anymore. They are all sold off a minute later and WORST OF ALL to a ticket "broker"

Who obviously resells (pending if the team is good or bad) at a much higher price.

Its the worst thing for local sports fans, I'm certain the broker could care less about the team. I think this needs to stop personally

I would venture to guess that in the long run the same is to be said about concerts and other events.

I real travesty

Its all a sham/scam.

A local sporting goods retailer had a bunch of playoff tickets for the "family zone." The tickets will be available on a first come first serve basis, with a limit of 4 tickets per person, while quantities last (500 tickets), starting at store opening at 10:00 am.

By 10:10 am, all of the tickets were gone.

How can they sell 500 tickets in 10 minutes when the limit is 4 per person???

The staff had purchased most of the tickets prior to store opening.

BASTARDS.

Ticketmaster has done the crap for years. It's especially more frustrating when you have to figure if the blurry box is a number or letter.

Now in the Philly area, they have comcast tix which made the fees even more $. BS is you ask me.

I'm fully aware of how much Ticketbastard sucks but they have a monoply on the market.

This thread was just a tip for scoring tickets, that is all.

They tried it along with Neil Young but neither could prevail over the long run.

The problem is is that Ticketbastard is hooked up with all the Clear Channel venues.

Good for the Pats.

I hope other teams do the same.

I like what the Ottawa Senators owner did/ When he bought the team AND the building(whichis the only MAJOR venue in Ottawa)he gave ticketmaster the boot and started www.capitaltickets.ca . Now for any event at the Arena - concert, trade show, hockey game - you go thru his ticket company, the only thing being you have to do is avoid ticketmaster!! I think the surcharges are a bit more, but his endeavor has steadily grown the last couple years, and now includes a couple of theatres, a university sports ticket outlet amongst other things. And best of all, even though I am sure it happens....I have not heard of one complaint yet about anything whatsoever. Maybe the professional sports teams or even leagues should be thinking of doing this as I am sure there is also a bit of money to be made in this part of the sports business. I wonder how much these teams have to fork over to ticketmaster for using their service?
