Time for a Poker Forum?

I know we've discussed this before, and I've talked with Jack privately about it as well, but it seems like we might want to revisit the issue of a dedicated poker forum here at the Mall. The weekly tourneys have generated some pretty good discussion (mostly hate posts directed towards Haanski

), and it seems like interest is up across the Mall. We have Poker posts scattered in two or three places here. Would be a welcome addition, IMO, if we had a place that we could gather up all the poker talk, yes?

All kidding aside. I personally think that is a great idea. That way they can all hate in one forum.

Pasco is already on board with the concept Vic, although his motivation is somewhat questionable. He thinks it might somehow enhance his chances to be a moderator...........

As the creator of main street many people have asked me if a poker forum would work I told them no.

I am also somewhat skeptical it would work right now. I am not dead set against it but possibly the answer is to keep all the poker talk in the Bettors Mall forum which is also new and just growing a little. I am not sure separating it would work.

I am willing to listen to thoughts/opinions about it though!

I didn’t want you to think I am ignoring this thread. I just am a little tied up right now.

I didn’t want you to think I am ignoring this thread. I just am a little tied up right now.

No problem, Jack, just was tossing the idea out there to see what everyone thinks..........I understand, as we discussed before, there's more to consider that just throwing another page out there. Was just thinking that the timing may be right with the tourneys going on, interest seemingly up (somewhat), and daily poker discussions happening in Main/Bettor's Mall/Baseball Forum.

Of course, football starts in a few days, which trumps interest in just about everything else, so the timing may be bad in that respect......
