'Tis the Season

Took the day off to do Xmas cooking and crunching NFL numbers for Wk 15.

So far today I've cooked 5 French Canadian Tourtieres and one will be for a late lunch. Every year I do them differently--along with the usual ground pork, ground veal and ground beef meats I've added small chunks of chicken and small chunks of veal to the meats. My special mixture has mashed potatoes, and my favourite herbs, spices and seasonings. It always tastes fabulous.

Later this afternoon I'll be cooking a homemade cranberry sauce.

Not sure when during the Holidays I'll be cooking turkey. Probably early in the New Years cuz I've got a few places to go and most will have some anyways.

Tonight I'm cooking Chinese- and Thai-style food. Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Balls, Chicken Wings and a stir fried chicken-vegetable dish. For 4 and hopefully enough leftovers for me tomorrow.

Feel free to share your Holiday time in here...

I started my Xmas shoppig back in November. So one more gift to buy and that will be tomorrow. I'm glad it's done as trying to find a parking spot in any mall is worse than going to a sold-out rock concert or hockey game.
