Top 10 NFL Teams Of All Times ?

Team Must Have Won Superbowl
Same team can't be named twice ..

Here's a few :
1985 Chicago Bears

• Bears started season 12-0 before finally losing and ended season at 15-1.
• Coach Mike Ditka led team to a 46-10 Super Bowl XX win over the New England Patriots.
• in November, Bears outscored their 3 opponents 104-3.
• Led by the “Punky QB” Jim McMahon, who came to August practice with a mohawk.
• RB Walter Payton was named NFL MVP and Offensive Player of the year after running for 1,551 yds and receiving for 483 yds.
• Offense led the NFL in scoring.
• Defense - nicknamed the “46 zone” which used the formula popularized by defensive coordinator Buddy Ryan - led league in fewest points allowed, fewest yards allowed and fewest interceptions that season.
• Linebacker Mike Singletary won Defensive Player of the Year.
• Mike Ditka named Coach of the Year
• Only knock against team might be Super Bowl Shuffle, which featured the team singing and rapping about how good they were, reached #41 on Billboard and even getting a Grammy nomination.

1989 San Francisco 49ers

• Team completed season with a 14-2 record and went on to defeat the Denver Broncos 55-10 in Super Bowl XXIV.
• The final in Super Bowl XXIII was not only the most points scored by one team, but also the biggest margin of victory in the Championship game.
• Ranked first in league offensively with 442 points scored.
• QB Joe Montana threw for 3,512 yds and had highest QB rating in NFL history at 112.4
• Montana earned NFL MVP and NFL Offensive Player of the Year
• WR Jerry Rice received 1,483 and John Taylor had a breakout season receiving 1,077 yds.
• RB Roger Craig rushed for 1,054 yards.

The 1972 Miami Dolphins

• Dolphins recorded perfect 14-0 season even after starting QB went down to injury and was out for a majority of the season with a broken leg.
• Would place higher, after all, in the words of RB Larry Csonka: "Perfection ends a lot of arguments,” but team played opponents with a .400 winning percentage and never dominated anyone in the season, for example, in week 6, QB Earl Morrall relied on the running game to narrowly escape the Bills with a one point win, attempting only 10 passes. In fact, 9 of 17 games were decided by 10 points or less. Nonetheless, the team will go down as the only one to have a perfect season.
• Larry Csonka and Mercury Morris were the first teammates to ever rush for 1,000 yards each
• Team set record for total rushing yards at 2,960 yds
• “No name defense” best in ‘72 – Dallas Cowboys coach Tom Landry could not recall any of their names
• Six from team are in Pro Football Hall of Fame

The 1991 Washington Redskins

• The team went 14-2 in the regular season and ended up winning Super Bowl XXVI against the Buffalo Bills.
• Ranked first in the league in offense with 485 points.
• Ranked second in the league in defense with 244 points allowed.
• Shut out three opponents in first five weeks, which included a 45-0 win in Week 1 over Detroit.
• Went 11-0 before suffering first loss.
• Quarterback Mark Rypien passed for 3,564 yds, led the NFC in passing yards and TDs (28).
• Offensive line (The Hogs) allowed fewest sacks in league (9) which was 10 less than the second placed team.
• Rypien was named Offensive Player of the Year by the United Press
• The club had 7 Pro Bowlers

The 1999 St. Louis Rams

• 13-3 record and beat Tennessee Titans 23-16 in Superbowl XXXIV.
• 1st in league offensively with 526 points.
• Won every game in regular season by over 10 points.
• QB Kurt Warner took over Trent Green’s spot after just playing one game in 1998 and throwing 11 passes.
• In 1999 he threw for 4,353 yards, 41 TDs and only 13 Interceptions, won NFL MVP.
• Broke passing record in Superbowl with 414 yds.
• RB Marshall Faulk won NFL Offensive Player of the Year with 1,382 yards rushing and 1,048 yards receiving, second RB with 1,000 in each category.
• Defense led in fewest rush yards allowed and fewest rush TDs allowed

The 1986 New York Giants

• Went 14-2 under Bill Parcells to win Super Bowl XXI 39-20 over Denver Broncos.
• Won 12 straight to finish the season, including the Super Bowl.
• Lawrence Taylor set single season team record with 20.5 sacks.
• Lawrence Taylor won NFL MVP, only one of two defensive players to ever do so (Minnosta Vikinbgs' Alan Page being the other).
• Joe Morris rushed for 1516 yds and 14 TDs.
• QB Phil Simms was Super Bowl MVP after going 22 for 25 (88%) - a Super Bowl record.
