Just got back from another meeting.. "what a powerful tool" !! but my seconds change by the second and i have to be aware of every tool in my arsenal to keep plugging.. i don't want to get addicted to a certain tool forcing me to use it.. theres others i wrote down that might help better for the very moment i'm in... but i'm assuming the "meetings" will be one of my most used weapons.

i guess i can post out the steps i came up with during my last two weeks of my use.. and anything new / or enlightened i ran across to this point of my journey... my road is young but it will help keep my mind focused.. it's going to blow your guys minds !! lol

it will be in multiple posts i'm sure..

and thanks to the rest of you for your recent posts.. it means a ton guys !!

Just saw this post Trossi. I've seen many friends go through this and you are no different. Cherish everyday and be happy that you are not just another statistic.

Best of luck and focus on the important things in life like....... Cappersmall Baseball Fantasy 1!!

glad to hear you have gotten some clean time in and come to grips with your addiction.

i know first hand as well how tough it is, and commend you the powerful steps you have taken. keep it up man! they way you are doing it (cold turkey) is the best way.

the hard part is mostly mental (which sucks because we know how hard the physical part is). after a few weeks/months you start to "forget" what the drug is like, and sometimes can be used as an excuse to relapse.

its not easy but meetings are really really helpful, as is finding other things to do that takes up the time you used to use using. you will be overall happier once the shit is out of your system for good. best of luck again, do it for yourself and those that mean the most to you.

Be careful with suboxone. It's hard if not harder to get off. If you can do without go that route. If nothing else working try that.

When you are having a bad minute, hour, day - come on forum or text/call me or any of us. Let us get you through that time.

We all proud of you Dan

Exactly right Jack. I am going back to court on custody issue because my little girls mom is mixing suboxone and soma to get a legal high. I think Jack is right. Avoid that stuff if you can.

Stay strong Trossi. You can do this.

I don't post these days often... I've been an addict of some kind for years... Been clean this last time about 16 months!!! Bro whatever you do keep yourself from getting the needle. Coming off is 50x harder!! Ever need to talk to another recovering addict get my info from Jack if you don't have it.

Gambling is a little bit of hidden addiction. Several on here probably have similar addictions and this post could help someone else. One day at a time... God Bless
