TRIPLE CROWN FOR BETFAIR AT EGR AWARDS

BETFAIR was named UK Sports-Betting Operator of the Year for the second consecutive year at the prestigious EGR Awards, hosted at the HAC, London, on Wednesday 24 November. The award follows another successful 12 months for the betting exchange, a period that included the company being listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Betfair Mobile was also recognised as the Mobile Operator of the Year following another year of significant growth for the platform. The judging panel singled out Betfair’s iPhone and iPad applications for praise, products that were first-to-market in the betting industry.

And to complete a hat-trick, Betfair TV, the exchange’s internet-connected television betting application, won the award for Innovation of the Year.

Betfair’s Chief Financial Officer Stephen Morana said: “As a business we are driven by cutting-edge innovation, and the awards received for our mobile and TV products in particular, highlight our commitment to providing customers with revolutionary and unique user experiences.”

Betfair were also highly commended in the Operator of the Year category.
