Smile Try to do a Life changing event for someone, someday

I have written about my brother-in-Law Rick and his heart attack prompted my wife to get a heart catheterization.

This procedure likely added years onto her life. Rick is a hell of a nice guy. He adopts and fosters abused children. One of the boys, Tony, is now in high school. He has some muscle degeneration disease; not sure which but he needed to get pushed around in a wheelchair. Tony could use his arms but did not have the strength to propel himself. I found a wheelchair with these wheels at an Estate sale that I bought cheap.

Twion Wheelchair Power Assist Wheel Retail price: $5,295.00
The way these work is a little push on rims is multiplied by motors/batteries in wheels.

No way Rick could afford this with other handicapped children in his home.

When Rick visited in summer, I gave him the powered wheels chair for Tony. Tony tried it out back in Wisconsin and for the first time he could push himself around the house on the grass. Tears of joy as Tony rounded the last turn to a surprise cake and mini-celebration.

Well done sir! Well done!
I was blessed to have parents that taught me to help others at a young age. I love to do anonymous Christmas for kids that would not normally get Christmas to no fault of their parents who are just doing the best they can to survive. True blessings come from blessings others.
God Bless You Brother and All at the Mall!

Been a blood donor for 14 years. Its easy once u have done a few. You need to be in good health. And u can only do it once every 3 months. They are always looking for new people.

I got the kid's name wrong. With 15 kids in and out, the names are hard to keep straight. This is Dakota.

Auburn:

*Like Dave, I donate blood a few X a year. As does my wife.

*This year, my wife's company was collecting sweat pants, sweat shirts, socks, beanies, blankets, you name it. Her company wanted to fill up 25-30 bags of clothes and donate them to the homeless. Just on the clothes that I donated alone, they were able to fill up 25 bags. Her boss at work could not believe it. I've lost a lot of weight, so a lot of my warm weather clothes did not fit me any longer, thus the donations.

*Every year, my wife and I buy a few gift cards when we are shopping at Wal-Mart, Target and any market you can think of. While we're doing our shopping, we simply pick out a random family, we then go up to them and say Merry Christmas and we give them the gift card. Shake hands, say X-mas greetings and we both go our separate ways, usually never to see that respective family ever again. We love doing that!!

There is a model for generosity in the movie

Pay It Forward (2000) - IMDb
