these are being implemented all over now in stadiums ... pretty awesome.
essentially what happens is the cubs had a magnet at the bottom ... when you put the cup on the tray, the magnet gets pushed up, allowing for beer to fill the cup (from the bottom). it is mathematically calculated to let out exactly the right amount of beer to fill the cup. once that is done, you lift the cup, the magnet pull back down to close the hole at the bottom, and you have a perfectly poured (and fastly poured) beer. and once you finish drinking, you even have the magnet at the bottom as a souvenir!!! they say the cups cost an extra 35 cents to vendors compared to previous cups ... so you might see beer prices go up an extra 25 or 50 cents from their already high prices, but its pretty cool to see!!
