tv/cable question

i have a magnavox basic tv im putting in my basement just for when i hold card games.

when we moved in the comcast guy set the cable remote to our lcd tvs in the living room and bedroom.

i dont know how to just be able to use just the cable remote to operate the tv and cable, and not have to use 2 remotes.

how do i sync the cable remote to the tv?

if you're getting a comcast box for the basement TV they all come w/ remotes right? there's a guide or whatever inside the remote package that tells you how to sync it. you press and hold setup on the remote or some shit, find the 4 or 5 digit code for the TV you're trying to sync it to in the guide and that's it. the way i explain it sounds like shit, but if you read that manual its easy takes 15 seconds.

hooked up yet ?

1.. Press and hold the Code Search button until the red
indicator stays on. Release the Code Search button.
2. Press and release the desired mode button (TV,
DVD, etc.).
The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
3. Enter the 3 digit code from the code tables. Note:
after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off.
For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
4. With your device on, press CHANNEL Up. If the
device responds, no further programming is
required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your
equipment, try one of the other codes for your
brand.

MAGNAVOX ..... codes

002 009 109 118 209 309 402 408
502 508 510 807 914 917
