Two cops shot dead in St Pete, standoff! Four in Florida this week

This week there were two shot dead in Miami serving a warrant now two more on the West Coast of Florida

Two St. Petersburg police officers died Monday after being shot while trying to arrest a suspect hiding in an attic, according to Police Chief Chuck Harmon.

Harmon said a U.S. marshal was wounded in the incident and is being treated at a hospital. He said the suspect remains barricaded inside the south St. Petersburg house where the shooting took place Monday morning.

The marshal and officers had come to arrest the suspect on aggravated battery charges.

Police had to use a vehicle to punch a hole in the wall to pull out one of the officers.

Police spokesman Mike Puetz told the St. Petersburg Times police were having an ongoing conversation with the suspect by phone.

At least seven tear gas canisters had been fired into the home, officials said.

A nearby middle school was placed on lockdown, authorities said.

That is really sad to hear, but it is happening alot lately. In Toronto, a few weeks ago, a Toronto Police officer was killed by a man or who commandeered a snow plow. As he tried to arrest him, the guy ran him over with it.

Let this post serve as a reminder to all of you. If you get stopped or questioned by a law enforcement officer, do not give them a ration of caca. Having been there before, I can guarantee you that nerves are running rather raw now, no matter where you live. L.A. had a school cop shot last week. Some idiot tried to shoot cops in Washington State at a Walmart. Another fool shot it out in Detroit. It is nation wide.

R.I.P. Condolences to the families of the fallen Officers. Violence is up across the nation and yet we still release all these dirtbags from prison. I got no problem letting non-violent drug offenders and thieves out a little early, but these violent offenders should be locked up as long as they can.

i live here in st.pete for the last 11yrs and yea it's very sad. the suspect was related to the boxer jeff lacy. and i have friends on the dept
