Thumbs down tyler perry

I just found out tyler perry made close to 500 million dollars last year, this is going to keep me up at night. I would like to know if there are any tyler perry fans here and if you would please explain to me why he is funny? Are the races this divided on comedy?

Yeah, it goes both ways. Plenty of white comedians who produce shit too, I just don't see how anyone could even crack a smile at him dressing up as an old woman every single movie and essentially repeating the same joke over and over. His tbs shows like "meet the browns" are unwatchable

how many shows on TBS does this guy need? where is the fanbase demanding these shows?? meet the browns, house of payne, and now some new one debuting next week... every one of them the exact same concept. recycled scripts with different actors. pure shit, all of it.

My black friends (His intended audience) don't watch him, they say he's garbage.
Who is watching???

Is there any hope for television?
