Unemployment Question?

Anyone know If a person can Quit a job that pays 7.50 per hr and be able to receive benefits. I was laid off from a job that paid 15.70 per hr a year ago and my weekly benefit rate would be the responsibility of that company not my current one. My weekly benefit rate is 350 per week. My weekly gross now is 300 per week. I am losing 200 dollars a month working this job if you want to talk net difference it would be 320 per week. I read that If they feel you are not being paid a reasonable wage they would allow benefits even if you Quit. Both are factory jobs. I feel 7.50 an hour is a terrible wage for this type of work, thats only a Quarter above minimum wage. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Only way you can get unemployment is if u lose ur job due to no fault of your own.. IE Laid off, out of business

If u quit u will 100% not be eligible for unemployment benefits

My advice: Keep working the crappy job while trying to find a better paying job and then leave when you do

Yea bro there is not much you can do except stay where you at but keep looking everyday check your local paper on line for another job ask for a raise if you think it's possible and if you have been there for a while. Or ask for a little Over time if you can get it

Also does this new job you have pay you any type of Medical Benefits or any type of 401K Plan if you have some type of Plan best to keep your benefits so at least you have something if you need it ..

Trust me been there done that just keep pushing forward and don't give up looking
I made the mistake of leaving one job before i found something else i burned threw my savings in no time at least you have income coming in a little bit of income is better then no income

I used to get partial unemployment. I had 2 jobs at the time (1 full and 1 part time) and got laid off on the full time job. I was allowed partial benefits. Don't remember how much, but you can collect even if you are working. I did.
