Ok......One of my coworkers stated that someone he know visited India or some middle eastern country. He said that there was a picture of a bunch of Indians sitting at a table with their left or was it the right hand under the table. He said that the reason that they ate with whichever hand was that they "wiped" their ass with the other........Come on seriously? Anybody know this to be true? He states to us that they didn't use toilet paper....Come on. Not that I like talking about this subject, but I want to know. Another guy stated that in China they just squat over a hole in a public restroom.....Man, Im not traveling to China or India........thanks, WILDKAT

Apparently true from centuries ago, before tp was invented.
Left hand was for wiping and then they wash off the hand.
It is my understanding that they only eat with their right hand as it is still ingrained in the pakistan/indian society.
Will have to pay attention next time I see a pakistani or an east indian dining.
