I stayed at the NH Royal Beach in the Dominican last summer and it was pretty great. All- Inclusive adults only on the RB side. There is a completely different hotel that you have full access too as well but kids are allowed on that side and it is mostly families. Gorgeous lazy river and pool and wait service at the beach and pool. Love those all-inclusive deals. Food was delicious and met a lot of great people.

Tripadvisor.com has a lot of great forums for basically every vacation spot in the world and great reviews for most hotels. Found it very helpful setting up my vacation. 2 Years ago I also went to the Melia in Cozumel. Was beautiful as well and perfect weather. Took a day trip and saw Chichen Itza (Myan Ruins) Same deal, wait staff on beach and pool with the swim-up bar. Freindly people and great food.
