Vulkan Flow

Bought one of these as opposed to the Sling Box Solo only because it cost $50 less and was told they are identical for what I want to use it for. Basically just watching my home TV on my laptop. Anyone have experience with either? Comments appreciated.

No idea why I didn't buy one of these a long time ago.

Got it yesterday. Hooking it took about an hour which wasn't long from start to finish.

Started changing the channels on my laptop and it changed em on the main TV which is a problem for anyone watching at home so I had to move it to the bedroom TV.

Picture quality was much better at home though but its still pretty decent at work (70 miles away). I'm sure it all depends on the speed (up & down) . The delay at the house was approx 2 secs off of the TV...I have no idea how much its at now since I can't compare.

Bottom line the thing works and I can basically do/watch anything I can at home on my laptop at work now.

I havent bought it yet, but plan too

theres a fix for the problem you have when you change the channel wherever youre watching that doesnt change the channel at home

look on the forums for the device

The STB has 2 tuners so I could've screwed with it further and made it work but the TV in the bedroom hardly ever gets used anyways so I just went with that one.

Flickin between CBSCN and ESPN2 now and lookin forward to actually watching RedZone and SNF.
