I know some are losing interest but I still love the show. I am getting bored with the néegan battles though. It would be nice if they moved on from that.

I still love it Wayne, it is just starting to get " jump the sharky" with how some of these people survive those kinds of ordeals.

Yeah, this savior and the group thing needs to be done with

One good thing about this show though is they do kill off regular cast members at an alarming rate. The main guys that they need stay but damn, they kill off a lot of people!

Agree with the "shit or get off the pot" trend on this show

I am still interested and tune in, but if they continue the "tease" 2 hour show they had tonight with the bullshit 2nd hour of some other show........ I will tune out very quickly

F-ing stupid if you ask me

Yeah. AMC duped us into watching one of their new shows called The Terror instead of a 2nd episode. My Tivo and cable box both displayed it as if there was a 2 hour Walking Dead. Diabolical.

The show likely ending shortly after was just my opinion, I just don think it survives after Lincoln is gone

Season 9
In January 2018, the series was renewed for a ninth season, which is planned to premiere in late 2018. It was announced that showrunner Scott Gimple would be promoted to Chief Content Officer for both The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, while current writer and co-executive producer Angela Kang would take Gimple's role for The Walking Dead.

Most of the cast's contracts had to be renewed for the ninth season and beyond, and most of the cast did re-sign;

the notable exception is Lauren Cohan who plays Maggie Greene. Cohan had sought a pay increase from AMC given her high demand from other networks; while she had signed onto star in a new series for the ABC network, this contract would still enable her to participate on The Walking Dead in a limited role. In April, Cohan confirmed she signed on for the ninth season.

Work on the ninth season's production started in March 2018, following the conclusion of editing of the eighth-season finale.[29] In May 2018, it was reported that the ninth season will be the final season for Andrew Lincoln, who plays lead character Rick Grimes.

Future seasons
Executive producer David Alpert said in 2014 that the original comics have given them enough ideas for Rick Grimes and company over the next seven years. "I happen to love working from source material, specifically because we have a pretty good idea of what Season 10 is gonna be", Alpert said. "We know where seasons 11 and 12 [will be]... we have benchmarks and milestones for those seasons if we're lucky enough to get there.

I heard that we'll see Rick in just 6 of the 18 episodes for Season 9. Also heard that Norman Reedus said he was going to leave, too, then stayed after he was offered $20-million.

Many Laws follow the Biblical standard of a 7-year limit to indebt yourself to another person or it is treading on slavery. It is nothing short of a miracle then that $million/year workers refuse to work longer then, oh $20 million? Let's see the details. Show me the money!

Yeah, Lauren Cohen clock is ticking, looks like she is going to start another show

This show has been fading and can't last long if Maggie and rick leave

Norman reedus is not a good actor (popular, yes) but he can't carry it, imo

yeah, it's on DVR every week and I watch it while I am working....so half paying attention.

one thing I missed, which I am now intrigued about is hearing the Zombie talk at the end of the episode before this last one. other than that, I am just seeing this through to the end
