Thanks brother!

My honeymoon is in April, we are going to Hawaii! We are planning 10 days there. We like to goof off and sit on the beach, we like touristy sites like we have to see Pearl Harbor, want to see a volcano of course. From there I'm a big fan of exploring beaches, quiet areas, maybe a run through the macadamia nut plantation or something?

I'll take any recommendations you've got. It is great to finally find someone who knows -- everyone says they have been there but never has much good advice.

i figure we can see 2, maybe 3 places? can you recommend which islands we go to, and maybe a hotel or two? thanks again in advance brother very cool of you to offer to help, anything is appreciated

go to Kauai. It's the most scenic of the Hawaiian Islands.

cool gonna give you the run down as for beach time oahu waikiki or haunama bay is where you want to go. stay away from beaches on the other islands cuz its not as safe unless you know the area. if you like nightlife waikiki is where you want to be! stay away from luaus that is not really good. but polynesian cultural center for a day is pretty cool.

pearl harbor is also on oahu just make your reservations for the tour ahead of time cuz they are usually booked solid daily.

for the volcano and mac nuts its the big island of hawaii. its alot of dead time driving but cuz the island is big and the speed limits are'nt high. i would try to spend about no more than a day there. nite spots will close by midnight.

kauai is one of the true beauties and romantic islands. there alot of fern grottos and waterfalls that you can kayak through really nice, very green, very country and rains alot. nite spots will close by midnight.

maui is another beauty/romantic place. Maui is scenic with lots of hills & valleys. they got alot of legendary stuff over there a hole that goes through a mountain, a pond that fills w/ red shrimp on one day/yr that makes the water look blood red (both have Legends behind it btw). haleakala (house of the rising sun) is an awesome site being above the clouds watching the sun rise(dress warm cuz its friggin freezin up there at 3am).

stay away from molokai, nothing to see really well they got father damien memorial. he was the guy who dedicated his life to care for the leppers in the old days cuz they would take all of them to molokai. lots of voodoo stuff over there too man. i dont go there much dont want to sound silly but man that island is like going back to the 60's. friggin duy checkpoints at 5pm. lol that should tell ya somethin. population is small and nothing to do.

1st decide on what island you want to go to and i can give you some suggestions. if i were you i would hit about 3 of the islands. you can take interisland fights from place to place. spend couple of days at each one maybe more in oahu. you tell me what islands you going to and i will give you the inside scoop on the what to do's are.

btw interisland flights can be done w/ purchasing a book of 6 or 8 coupons to go from island to island. this is the cheaper way to do it and check with "go airlines" think they got the best deals right now.

if you want to do a fishing trip big island kona side is the best, gonna be expensive tho. if this is what you want to do let me know i can hook you up w/ a boat on oahu that will charge you less and probably give you more sea time too.

will give you more tips when you come back with some details.

I can't believe that you aren't going to see Father Damian, the Father for the Leppers? He dedicated his whole life to a very sick group and now you want to think just about you and the bride and having a good time. Thank goodness he didn't have this selfish attitude! Just kidding! Have a great time!
