I would imagine that he had to know that there would be a backlash against him for saying that. To that extenet probably not but it happens.
I do pretty much agree though that assault rifles used for hunting is a crock of shit. I also think you should be able to have whatever gun you want as long it's aquired legally. The gov't has no biz telling me what kind of gun I can/can't have in my opinion as long as you have no major criminal record I don't hunt but I do shoot assualt rifles on occasion if target shooting. I personally don't see anything wrong it at all but that's just me. Sucks to be him though

i have guns, i'm licenced to have them, they are legal, i do target practice/skeet shooting for when/if ever they need to be used... purely for family protection...originally my dads idea, but i'm a better shot than him

I suppose I just feel sorry for the poor bastard in so much that he may be taken down by a community that unwittingly may be supporting the illegal hunting of gophers to deer and moose by ARs.
Plus I read this as just his opinion so a behind the scenes slap on the peepee by the powers that be would be a more fitting punishment. |
