Question Are we at a point where we feel sorry for Tiger?

He's so bad

Can it get worse? Almost at a point where you feel sorry for him being so bad?

At this point, no. He's played 4 or 5 events. A yr from now is when I would be concerned. When he is healthy and focused and puts on this type of show, I, yes I, will feel sorry for him. He is still the face of golf and will be so until he passes. Remember, Jack was the face until tiger came on the scene.

What he needs to do is spend time with a buddist monk in Asia for 2-3 months in isolation and get his Chi back.

Tiger who???? He still plays golf???

You can't be that famous and try to be that secretive with the press... 'cuz if you slip up once they are going to hang you out to dry.

I do not feel sorry for Tiger...the same way I wouldn't feel sorry if ANY pro athlete who goes on a downward spiral from the pinnacle of sports greatness.

I didn't feel badly when Michael Jordan couldn't make his comeback (multiple times); I didn't shed a tear when Wayne Gretzky couldn't put up the same points/goals/assists late in his career; and I didn't feel anything when Brett Favre's body just plain broke down even though his football mind was relatively sharp.

These are players who have achieved so much in what can be considered monumental careers. Tiger Woods has done in such a short span of time what hundreds if not thousands of golfers DREAM of doing. No I do not feel sorry for him. Even if he wasn't a giant douche with less integrity and character than a sack of wet mice.

On the other hand, I feel more sympathy for those athletes who had high expectations and potential to BE something great, to win championships, to create sport history ... and failed to do so due to unfortunate fate or circumstances.

I will never feel sorry for him, if anything, I am enjoying watching him embarrass himself. He is a shell of himself & proves the old saying, that karma doesn't forget.

Last weekend he still won over $50,000 for being bad. I'd take that. Feel sorry for people who are sick and dying, or who are struggling to support themselves or their families, or who are random victims of terrorism. Even if Tiger has lost much of what he once had and was, he's still doing pretty well, relatively speaking. He doesn't want or need anybody's pity.

On the other side, I have never understood why one would take such joy and pride in the struggles of others. Seems pretty negative and mean-spirited. Don't people have more important issues of their own to concern themselves with?
